Blancanieves, the first classical ballet by Emilio Aragón, premieres this 3 November at the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao. The work consists of an overture and twenty-three scenes. Conceived for symphony orchestra, the ballet features ninety minutes of music based on the classic Brothers Grimm tale of Snow White.

Emilio Aragón has dedicated it to Tamara Rojo, first ballerina with the Covent Garden Ballet, who will be taking part in the events surrounding the premiere. This is the first ballet to premiere in Spain in many years. From 3 to 6 November it will be on at the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, and from the 9th to the 13th at the Teatro Albéniz in Madrid, with the Orchestra of the Community of Madrid.
