Release of the first title from the Maestros of Girona Collection

Tritó announces the launch of the Mestres Gironins collection, a joint project with the Diputación Provincial de Girona and the Town Council of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The first release, now available, is “Impressions simfòniques” by the composer Juli Garreta (1875-1925).

This ambitious collection seeks to highlight the often unknown works of composers linked to the Catalan city of Girona and whose works are held in the city’s historic archives. Mestres Gironins will include the complete works of Juli Garreta. The next name in the collection will be Josep Gaz (1656-1713), chapel master of the Girona cathedral.

We hope that with this collection the music of Girona, its cathedral and archives will receive the credit it deserves.
