Posted by Soledad Sánchez Bueno on June 14, 2012  |  Leave a comment

The Swiss label VDE-Gallo is a small company specialized in woed music.

Its catalog also includes other titles of interest to our country as the CDs rcorded by the Catalan pianist Esther Pineda.
She is planning to offer two concerts related to her CD with music by Frederic Mompou that will be place the Conservatoire Jean-Philippe Rameau and the Théâtre du Châtelet (Grand Foyer).
On of the other most interesting titles on the label, is a collection of organ music played on organs from Philippines by the organist Guy Bovet.
Of great interest ethnomusicological and for fans of the label Ocora specialized in ethnic music, VDE-Gallo offers an interesting series of Latin American music titles.
A strong recovery effort can not go unnoticed. We hope this collection offered by the Swiss label is of your interest.

Logo Biblioteca de CatalunyaAs you probably already know, the Biblioteca de Catalunya has an important music archive and an interesting catalogue of scores and music publications. What you may not know is that Tritó has held the exclusive distribution rights to these materials for the last two years.
In this list we present all the currently available titles published by the Biblioteca de Catalunya: works by Isaac Albéniz, Josep Cabanilles, Josep Elies, Joan Baptista Pujol, Joan Balcells and many others.

And you must also know that thanks to the recent improvements made to our search engine, you can narrow down and combine the list we offer you to locate works by instrument, composer, epoch, style, level of difficulty and so on. For example, out of the 44 results in an initial list, we can narrow down by format so that the system tells us there are 6 conductor’s scores, 3 facsimiles… Or perhaps you’re interested in knowing what choral works the Biblioteca has published…

Unquestionably, there is much to discover among the publications of the Biblioteca de Catalunya – and the many other publishers whose catalogues you can explore in the Shop at And don’t forget that if you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can always write to

The shop at making things easier

Posted by Cristina Martí on June 7, 2011  |  1 Comment

In the shop at we have decided to make things easier for you when it comes to browse sheet music. If a few months ago we changed the look of the website and added new functions such as the calendar and the rental section, during the last few weeks we have been working on improvements to the search engine that locates scores, CDs and books in the shop.

Smart Search Filters

Tired of having to navigate through endless pages of results to find a particular score or a particular album? At we value your time and don’t want you to waste it, so we’ve decided to make searching easier. With the new smart menu you can navigate very quickly through the entire catalogue by adding and removing search filters as you like. This new tool enables you to narrow down a search through the 20,000 titles available in the store in order to view only the two or three that you interest you, forgetting the rest, and all in just four clicks.

You can filter by instrument, ensemble, genre, epoch, level, author, publisher and format … and this is just scores! There are also special filters for books and CDs: subject, format, language, duration, …You can also add as many instruments as you want. Imagine that you play in a chamber group consisting of flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, cello and piano. Just go on adding instruments until you obtain the result of the search.

Also new are the large flyout windows in the main menu where you can view all the possibilities at once (instruments, ensembles, authors and so on).

Much more accurate searches

We have improved the algorithm of the general search engine to make it much faster, more efficient and effective so that it will now return more relevant results. In addition, these results can be narrowed down even further by using the smart filters, so now the only limit is your imagination!

User-friendly presentation of results

landing_piano_blog_enWith a catalogue as extensive as ours, and with it expected to double in size this year, we cannot allow you be swamped by the masses of results from the larger categories. To avoid this we have created special pages where the results are organised in a clearer and friendlier format (with direct links, guidance, grouping of results by ensemble or publisher, novelties, etc). It is much clearer and easier to find your bearings and browse a page like the one in the picture below than to be presented with a list of 3500 works for piano, although if you still prefer the entire list of works you can view it by following the link shown on each page.

The same applies to authors with many works. They are now clearly presented to make your search faster and more accurate. For example, you can see how the catalogue of works by Isaac Albéniz is organized: latest novelties, scores according to the ensemble, publishers and so on.

All these improvements have been made thinking of you and your needs as a musician and music lover. We hope that you like them and we encourage you to visit the shop, test the new tools, search, locate what you need … and enjoy yourself. Because looking for classical music has never been so much fun. ;-)

Manuel Castillo and Antonio José, Tritó novelties

Posted by Redacción on November 22, 2007  |  Leave a comment

As part of our efforts to revive 20th-century Spanish symphonic music, Tritó now offers  “Sinfonía Castellana” by Antonio José, a rare example of orchestral savior faire from this great musician who died in the Civil War. This publication is fruit of an agreement with FUNDACIÓN SIGLO of the Regional Government of Castilla y León. On the other hand, as part of an agreement signed with the Junta de Andalucía for the publication of the catalogue of the late Manuel Castillo, Tritó has just released Castillo’s “Sinfonia nº 1″ and “Concierto para piano y orquesta”, which will facilitate the diffusion of the music by the Sevillian composer, one of the lesser known figures of the generation of the 1951. Finally, Tritó’s catalogue of contemporary composers has been enlarged with the addition of “Lumières abyssales – Chroma I” for orchestra by Hèctor Parra; “Wasserfall” and “Memento” for piano by Jesús Torres, in addition to “Verwandlung” by David Padrós for flute quartet.

Tritó offers specialized books on string instruments

Posted by Marcel Soleda on September 30, 2005  |  Leave a comment

Tritó has always striven for excellence and completeness not only in sheet music and CDs but in specialized literature as well, as seen in our catalogue of books on string instruments. Among the titles we offer is The Vihuela De Mano And The Spanish Guitar, the best study ever undertaken on the builders of the “vihuela” and Spanish guitars. Equally interesting and important is La chitarra di liuteria, by Stefano Grondona and Luca Waldner, which explores the construction of the guitar during the 19th and 20th centuries, and which includes a CD with selected pieces by Llobet, Tàrrega, Ponce and others. Finally, one of the few books ever written about Spanish luthiery is Los luthiers españoles, by Ramón Pinto i Comas, which you will also find in our catalogue.
